Research Grant Evaluator
I am registered in the pool of expert evaluators for research grants given out by the European Commission. In autumn 2025 I evaluated grants under the Horizon Europe programme Cluster 2 (HORIZON-CL2-2025-01-HERITAGE-04): Leveraging artificial intelligence for creativity-driven innovation by commission of the European Research Executive Agency, Brussels.
Examiner & Censor
I work as an external examiner and censor for higher education institutions. I was recently hired as external examiner for the MA in art history (KVI-3900) at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, particularly for the thesis Videokunst i offentlig rom. Fem caser fra Norge (Video art in Public Space. Five cases from Norway) by Hilde Rosenberg Bamarni (December 2025). In May 2026 I will act as external examiner and censor for MA students in Photography at HDK-Valand – Academy for Art and Design, University of Gothenburg, Sweden
Teaching
Experience as lecturer in art history, photography, photobooks, Arctic art, provenance research and new media at universities across Europe.
A practice built on rigorous research, long-term artist relationships and an expansive international network. Major exhibitions at Fotogalleriet, Venice Biennale, Berlin Biennale and Documenta, alongside monographic publications and collaborative editorial projects.

I have long-term experience from large exhibition projects and cultural institutions, such as from my experience as artistic and managing director of Fotogalleriet, Oslo, three subsequent Berlin Biennales (3rd, 4th, and 5th) and Documenta.
